My near-death experience at age fifteen has always been my secret and my inner treasure. When I decided to write about it, the time had come to look at the aftereffects which have lasted these five decades. As I discovered, the story became the jouney toward maturity, the path of individuation. I am still trying to understand what it means to be mature.
Confessions of an Introvert: The Solitary Path to Emotional Maturity is the story of my search, from religion to psychoanalysis, for the meaning of my near-death experience. Told as a personal narrative, it deals with Erikson's eight stages of the life-cycle, Jung's development of the personality, and the nature of consciousness. I hope you will read it.
